The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland is a sovereign state just northwest of France on a selection of islands that are known as the British Isles. A rich history contained within its predecessor states, e.g. the Kingdom of Great Britain, the Kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland, etc, a history that allows those born under the British Crown to behold the responsibility for the colonization of many of the world's overseas territories and the establishment of many successful societies that were descended from the grandiose status of their mother country.

In 1801, the Kingdoms of Great Britain and Ireland merged by what is known as the Acts of Union 1800 to form the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

Parliament[]

His Majesty's Parliament is the legislative body that governs the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland by the will of the King and for the good of the people. Although many colonies and the subsidiary states that have their own titular parliaments (such as the Parliament of Scotland) use their own legislatures, the parliament that is situated at Westminster Palace holds supremacy as the highest legislative assembly able to make laws in the King's name bar the King himself.
